Language of publication in the journal

Research papers are published in both Arabic and English, according to templates prepared to facilitate the process of scientific writing by international standards, taking into account the guidance of publication and citation.

 Rules and guidelines for publishing in the journal:

-       Researchers must submit their original papers and research according to the template specified for publication.

-       List the names of the researchers contributing to the scientific paper or research depending on the percentage of achievement so that the first name of the researcher is the most contributing and, is the main author of the research paper and is contacted only, followed by the next researcher and it is not allowed to add new names after submitting the paper to the journal.

-       The paper submitted for publication should not have been previously published, and it should not be under review at the same time in any other party.

-       Researchers must abide by the ethics of writing and publishing, and if any fraud or theft is proven, this is a scientific crime, and the journal has the right to reject the research and deprive the researcher from publishing again in the journal, and the journal has the right to inform the national societies and editorial boards of scientific journals of this incident. 

-       The researcher is responsible for all cases and lawsuits related to copyright and intellectual property that may arise from third parties against the journal, and they are obligated to bear all the legal consequences resulting in this regard without the slightest responsibility for the journal. 

Priority publication shall take into account the following:

-       The publication of the research received first takes precedence after reviewing it and responding to the observations and suggestions of the jury as well as the editorial committee.

-       Priority for topics related to local affairs or urgent topics determined by the editorial committee. If two papers are accepted for the same researcher (or two or more researchers), one of the papers is published in the first publication to be published, and the other paper that was accepted is delayed for the next issue or according to the opinion of the editorial board.

-       The editorial board may issue an exceptional issue if the posts accumulate or issue a special issue that includes research papers that address a specific topic or cover an event such as scientific conferences.

-       Research published in the journal becomes the property of the journal and the rights of publication are transferred to it, and researchers have the right to quote from it provided that the source is indicated, but it may not be republished in another refereed journal.


Ethics of scientific research for the researcher:

The researcher is obligated to observe the following conditions when submitting research for publication in the journal:

-       The research must be innovative and serve the community by developing solutions to some of the problems and problems facing the community.

-       The research should not be part of a scientific thesis or any study carried out by the researcher.

-       The research should not have been previously published in a scientific journal, a book, or anything else.

-       Upon receipt of his research by the journal, the researcher is obligated not to submit the research to any journal or any other party for publication, and if he wishes to do so, he must notify the journal well before publishing his research.

-       It is absolutely forbidden to republish if the research has been published in the journal. The journal accepts research participating in publication, provided that the research is accompanied by the written consent of all participants in the preparation of the research, for the purpose of publication in the journal.

-       The researcher must observe scientific honesty when publishing, by not quoting the ideas of others without indicating the source of these ideas and information in general.

-       Commitment to the rules of the recognized methodology in the preparation of research, including the need to indicate all the essential elements in the introduction and clarify the problem of the research, and the link of the introduction to the conclusion, and treatment within the framework of a methodological plan based on a logical sequence of ideas, and that the results and recommendations are accurate and clear.

- The need to rely on modern sources in research, taking into account their diversity, to serve the research ideas.

-       The need to observe the technical rules set by the journal in writing.

Evaluation Criteria

Research submitted for publication is evaluated on the following bases:

-       The ideas presented are distinguished by scientific importance.

-       Suitability of this paper for publication in the Journal of Engineering Research.

-       Scientific addition to the research.

-       The researcher's adoption of the scientific method in the analysis.

-       Depth of analysis and derivation of research results.

-       The writer's commitment to the controls of scientific honesty.

-       The researcher benefits from various scientific references.

-       Logical and objective sequence in the presentation of the research.

-       Accuracy of wording, integrity, and clarity of language.

-       The researcher follows the principles of scientific research.
